About this Course
The way software gets built has changed. Engineers now build with AI agents, and the skill that matters most is directing the agent and owning the result. ASE300 is where you learn to do that on real, full-stack software.
This is not vibe coding. You will learn the difference between vibe coding (accept whatever the AI produces) and agentic engineering (direct an agent on a real codebase, then review and own every line), and when each fits. Every module runs the same loop: spec, direct the agent, review the diff, catch what is wrong, understand the fundamental behind it, then ship.
You will go full-stack with TypeScript: build interfaces with React and Tailwind, stand up a real backend with Node, SQL and Prisma, then bring them together with Next.js. Intermediate and advanced JavaScript and TypeScript are taught as your review lens, so you can read code fluently enough to catch the agent's mistakes and make the architecture calls it cannot.
You will build and defend real projects, with testing, security review and deployment baked in. By the end you will have shipped full-stack applications you can stand behind in a code review: the proof that you are accountable for what you and the agent built. ASE300 is ASE 1, Level 4 of the JCC ladder, and leads to ASE400.

What You Will Build
You will build real, portfolio-grade software throughout the course, working the way a product team works. Two capstones, one solo and one team, prove you can own what you ship.
A full-stack application you build incrementally through the studios and own end to end, defended in a code review.
A real-world brief built in a four-week sprint with an assigned team, using a Git and pull-request workflow with peer code review, presented at demo day.
Hands-on builds each week that sharpen your review lens and feed your individual capstone.

What You Should Know First
Prerequisites
ASE300 begins at real software engineering, not programming basics. CS200 is required and there is no way past it: a CS degree, another bootcamp or years of freelancing do not substitute for it. FDP Part 1 graduates have already satisfied it, having covered the same ground under the old codes.

Twelve weeks in a single language. CS200 takes the foundations you built in CS100 and goes deep on JavaScript - the language, the DOM and asynchronous code - then puts MySQL underneath it and a Node, Express and REST back-end on top, finishing with a full-stack capstone you design, secure and ship.
